MEME Pool is a small, independent Cardano stake pool. We believe decentralized blockchains will play a huge part in the future of how humans manage identity, interact with currency, and consume media and art. We support that vision by contributing to the decentralization of the Cardano blockchain.
Is it safe? Yes! Staking on the Cardano network never puts your coins in jeopardy. The coins stay in your wallet and always under your control to spend or hodl as you like. By delegating to independent pools like MEME, you are directly supporting the decentralization of the Cardano network.
If you currently hold your coins on an exchange like Coinbase or Binance, you’ll need to move them to a wallet you control first (Exchangees usually only allow staking through pools they own).
We recommend Yoroi (Mobile & Web), Adalite (Web), or Daedalus (Desktop).
- Find the “Delegate” option in the wallet and search for ticker “MEME”
- Follow the prompts to delegate your wallet. If this is the first time you are staking the wallet, you’ll have to pay a 2 Ada deposit to the network (you’ll get it back when you un-delegate your wallet) and a small tx fee of around 0.17 Ada, and you are done!
- Profit! Wait around 2 weeks and rewards will start showing up in your wallet
And now, a meme for you:
The MEME stake pool runs on a trio of Raspberry Pi microcomputers with SSD hard drives and a gigabit fiber optic connection to the internet. Our servers consume about 0.2kWh per day, which is about the same as running one 9W (60W equivalent) LED light bulb.
